Measuring Your Favorite Fitting Shirt
SHIRT COLLAR
Lay the tape measure across the base of the shirt collar, from the center of the button to the center of the buttonhole on the other side.
SHIRT WAIST
Lay the tape measure across the middle of the shirt, just above the 7th button from the top of the shirt.
SHIRT CHEST
Lay the tape measure across the chest just under the sleeves.
SHIRT YOKE
Lay the tape measure across the yoke of the shirt measuring between the seams.
SHIRT CUFF
Lay the tape measure across the open cuff of the shirt measuring between the buttonhole edge of the cuff to the middle of the button.
SHIRT SLEEVES
Lay the tape measure on the yoke, starting in the center and measuring over to the top seam on the sleeves. This is the half yoke. Then lay the tape (in this case with the 9) at the top of the sleeve and measure to the bottom of the cuff on the sleeve. Measure both sleeves to ensure they are the same length.
Measuring Your Favorite Fitting Pant
PANT WAIST
Lay the tape measure through the belt loop of the buttoned pant and measure from one edge to the other keeping the trouser taut.
PANT SEAT
Lay the tape measure across the widest part of the seat of the pant.
PANT OUTSEAM
Lay the tape measure at the top of the waistband of the pant and measure to the bottom of the pant.
PANT INSEAM
Lay the tape measure on the seam on the inside of the pant leg and measure to the bottom of the pant.
PANT BOTTOM
Lay the tape measure across the bottom of the pant leg opening.
Measuring Your Favorite Fitting Jacket
JACKET LENGTH
Lay the tape measure at the base of the collar and measure to the bottom of the jacket.
JACKET SLEEVE OUTSEAM
Lay the tape measure at the top of the sleeve head and measure to the bottom of the jacket.
JACKET CHEST
Lay the tape measure across the widest part of the chest of the jacket, directly under the arm seam.
JACKET HALF WAIST
Lay the tape measure at the center seam of the jacket and measure to the edge, just below the first button.
